The girls (mine and another) had lots of Spring fun in the driveway a couple of days ago. They drew circles with the hula hoops (our usual trails are lines I'm forcibly contracted to do...) and then made a Trail of Spring. I threw in the chrysalis at the start... It seemed right because they had a butterfly at the end. :)
Tools & Supplies: Sidewalk Chalk (variety of colors), Hula Hoop(s), Pavement (driveway or sidewalk), Child Labor (imagination)
1. Trace the inside of a hula hoop with chalk (do the inside because the kids tend to go wildly off course when it is on the outside... why? I dunno.)
2. Repeat step one as many times as you would like the trail to be long...
3. Draw your Spring favorites along the trail. We did birds, butterflies, bunnies and buds (I had to keep the alliteration, right?)
4. To use: Hop from circle to circle to complete the Trail of Spring.
:) Enjoy!
